Red Rocks Canyon Loop - Classic sandstone formations, old quarries, ponds, views of Colorado Springs Red Rocks Canyon Short Loop - Beautiful Canyon with Red Sandstone, grassy fields and ponds. Waldo Canyon Loop - Easy access hike along a stream, views of Pikes Peak and Colorado Springs. Helen Hunt Falls - Very brief hike to view Helen Hunt Falls Pikes Peak from Devils Playground - A relatively short and easy hike on Pikes Peak Railroad Bed above Manitou Springs - Hike along a historic railroad bed through tunnels along a canyon Section 16/Palmer Trail - Beautiful mountain scenery, spectacular views, old pine forest, mountain streams Silver Cascade Falls - Short hike in Cheyenne Canyon to some interesting falls. Ute Pass Falls - Falls hidden by a highway bridge and defaced by graffiti Lovell Gulch Trail - Streamside hike with views of Woodland Park, Pikes Peak, and more Pancake Rocks - Easily accessed trail leading to unique rock formations. Pikes Peak from the Crags - The shortest free hiking route up Pikes Peak Rainbow Gulch - Lots of Aspen trees along a stream leading to Rampart Reservoir Raspberry Mountain - Thick aspen groves, high mountain meadows, ending with a stunning view of Pikes Peak Red Rocks Campground Loop - Easy loop through the forest North of Woodland Park Red Rocks of Woodland Park - Beautiful red sandstone rock formations in forested area. South Colony Lakes - High altitude lakes beneath breathtaking mountains, with excellent fishing. Victor Hiking Trails - Several good trails in the Victor-Cripple Creek mining district, especially American Eagle St Peter's Dome - fairly short hike ending in a fun rope scramble. Begins at Gold Camp Road - has unique views of Cheyenne Mountain, S Cheyenne Canyon, Cook Stove Mountain, Mt. Rosa, and the rarely visited Rosa Cascade tumbling down the east slopes of Mt. Rosa. Fishing Private, no license: Lone Duck, Cascade All areas below require a Colorado Fishing license for ages 16 or older. Under 16 may take a full daily limit without a Colorado fishing license. NORTH SLOPE RECREATION AREA Pikes Peak Highway exit. Hours: June 2 – Aug31 7am – 8:30pm Sept. 1 – 30 Sat. & Sun. 7am – 4pm, Mon – Fri.8am -4pm. $4 per day to reservoirs – no highway fee for fishing. No trailers, boats must be carried on top of car or bed of pick-up. Belly boats may be used. Picnicking, fishing, boating. Shoreline 10 miles. Can be reached from Rampart Range Road from the Garden of the Gods. (can be extremely rough in spots). FOUNTAIN CREEK Runs along Hwy 24 from Cascade GAZEBO LAKE From Hwy24 west, take the Green Mountain Falls exit, Chipita Park Road to Ute Pass Avenue. Fishing and picnicing. 11-Mile Canyon Wold-class fly fishing and bait fishing. Take Highway 24 to Lake George. Just southwest of Lake George, look for Eleven Mile Canyon sign. 11-Mile Reservoir Salmon, SPINNEY MOUNTAIN RESERVOIR - trophy fishery and designated gold medal water. Only artificial flies and lures are permitted.
